Grove Lodge is a multidisciplinary practice with a wealth of experience. We are passionate about providing the very best veterinary care for our patients. We are close to the sea and the Southdowns national park. Fabulous transport links to London. Gatwick airport is easily accessible. Close to Brighton, a vibrant city with a great choice of restaurants, bars, theatres and nightlife.

We invest in both our team and our equipment. Practice facilities and equipment include CT, Endoscopy, Laparoscopy, Echocardiology/ ECG, Laser, Endoscopy, fully equiped lab, Imagyst machine, digital x-ray and dental x-ray, routine multiparameter monitoring and active warming. Continued professional development is encouraged. We have certificate holders in Cardiology, Small Animal Medicine, Diagnostic Imaging, Small Animal Surgery, Dentistry and Oral and Opthalmology. Many of our Vets completed their certificates while at the practice.

We have a really supportive and proactive team made up of 15 Vets including a dedicated Dental Vet and 21 Nurses and we are a nurse training centre. The majority of the Nurses are based at the hospital. There is also a Nursing team at our 3 surgical branches. We are always wanting the best outcomes for our hospitalised Medicine and Surgical cases. We have wellbeing champions within the practice and hold both a summer and Christmas practice event to allow everyone to have fun with their colleagues and let their hair down.

Step into a supportive start

Your normal hours of work are 40 hours per week, 4 days a week. Due to the particular needs of the business we need to operate a rota system, therefore there are no normal times of work applicable to you and your daily hours, start and finish times will vary from time to time on a rota system. The rota operates Monday to Friday inclusive. In addition, you may also be required to participate in a Saturday rota. We are a host practice for VetsNow. Therefore, there is no requirement for any of our team to work nights, Sunday or Bank Holidays.

We have three GDP advisors within the practice who will be allocated individually to each graduate. You will be given time at both our main hospital as well as one of the larger surgical branches. There will always be support on site. We have a hugely experienced Nursing team who are invaluable in helping to support our graduates. We understand how important those first few years in practice are. We want to support and grow you into the best Vet you can possibly be. With so much experience and certificate holders within the practice there is always someone who will be able to help and support
with those tricky cases.
