ReachOut is a mentoring charity working with children in disadvantaged communities to raise aspirations and help them grow in character and competence. We improve self-confidence and develop numeracy, literacy and communication skills whilst reinforcing our core character virtues of: Fairness, Self-Control, Good Judgement and Staying Power. We do this through one-to-one mentoring with positive role models, academic mentoring to improve academic ability and team activities to promote leadership, trust and responsibility.
Since 2011, 73% of ReachOut mentees have achieved at least 5 A*-C grades at GCSE level including English and Maths compared with 58% nationwide. Mentoring with ReachOut is fantastic way to make a lasting positive difference to the life of a young person and it gives you the opportunity to gain skills and experiences valued highly by graduate employers.
