As a Professional Services Consultant, you’ll develop and deliver detailed technology consulting and implementation solutions on the Viewpoint for Projects (VFP) and Field View (FV) products within the EMEA region and supporting certain global locations on a ad-hoc basis as required. You’ll be responsible for product implementation, system training and project management from contract inception through to client’s “go live” date and internal handover to support team. Serving as a liaison between the company and our clients; projects assigned will be of varying sizes and complexity with project budget’s ranging from £1 million to £100 million plus.

Working in a Team of five Consultants, you will support direct clients as well as their third-party subcontractors so they can effectively utilise our Viewpoint software. This is a position for a candidate who understands the life cycle of the construction and civils industries and can confidently support stakeholders at various levels. If you have either hands-on experience as a QS, Document Controller or Project Manager or if you are a Construction Graduate, you will have highly transferable skills for this position.

What you'll do

  • Problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification and customisation, implementation, and solution deployment.
  • Work directly with clients to manage initial access, map and transfer data and creation of process documentation.
  • Carry out training remotely (with some onsite) ensuring training meets client needs and contractual requirements; coordinate future training for client.
  • Management of existing client relationships.
  • Internal communications with Product Owners, Engineering and Support teams to guide roadmap improvements and better user experience.
  • Prepare and utilise training agendas from release documentation, field service requirements or software documentation; ensuring that course material reflects current product features and customer requirements.
  • Oversee technical implementation products and coordinate with clients to ensure effective services are provided and project completion is within timescale in accordance with customer needs and contract requirements.
  • Work in close partnership with clients to determine their key requirements, collaboration objectives, and communicate these requirements back to key business functions.
  • Strive to retain existing clients and ensure the maximum longevity of their relationship with Viewpoint through proactive contact, excellent service delivery and appropriate relationship development.

What skills & experience you should bring

  • A Bachelor's degree ideally in a construction related subject or previous work experience within the Construction industry in some capacity is desirable.
  • Some appreciation of project management methodology and practices, managing multiple and complex technical customer projects/implementations.
  • Good presentation skills, training skills, client-management skills, relationship-building skills, requirements gathering experience, and negotiating skills.
  • Excellent problem solving, risk mitigation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong initiative, customer-service orientation and commitment to ensuring timely, quality solutions to customer issues.
  • Ability to work remotely and a proactive approach to work delivery and time-management, including managing own diary, completing administrative tasks and arranging own travel using company travel agent.

What skills & experience you could bring

  • An understanding of, or previously worked with Viewpoint products (Viewpoint for Projects and Field View) or similar in some capacity is desirable.
  • Appreciation of the Construction industry standards and processes (ISO 19650 etc.) is desirable but can be learnt.
  • Presentation skills, training skills, client-management skills, relationship-building skills, requirements gathering experience, and negotiating skills.
