The Presentation Department at A+E Networks EMEA are responsible for providing finalised accurate, strategic and broadcast compliant linear and FAST schedules to Playout.

We are looking for an organised, detail-oriented and motivated individual to come work with us across our premium and free-to-air UK and International channels. With the rest of the team, you will be responsible for scheduling all broadcast Presentation elements: promotions, sponsorship, graphics, continuity announcements and channel branding. A creative eye and the ability to implement strategic plans to influence audiences is a must.

As well as applying commercial break patterns on the channels, all schedules must be sent to our playout houses by the agreed deadlines. The role is collaborative and requires regular liaising with our key stakeholders; marketing, programming, creative, continuity and compliance as well as our external sales and playout providers. A dependable team-player with good, clear communication is pivotal.

This role will be hybrid based in the London office working on exciting, award-winning brands like Sky HISTORY and Crime+Investigation.

Key responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the provision of accurate and creative schedules to Playout in a timely manner while maintaining a thorough understanding of their individual requirements and all associated services.
  • Support Playout and collaborate to remedy on air issues.
  • Implement airtime strategy that has been set in collaboration with the Media Planning team. Understand and interpret promotional ratings to best effect. This will require you to attend allocation and commissioning meetings as well as viewing all promotional and branding material prior to them airing.
  • Have a good knowledge of the channels, technology and operations required to perform your duties, and act as a resource for others to support their learning.
  • Consistently identify, prioritise and deal with incidents in a timely and professional manner by implementing the appropriate fix.
  • Escalate problems in the required timescales and via the most effective route, retaining ownership of the issues, promptly carrying out follow up analysis when needed.
  • Take the initiative to pass on information and updates, providing and receiving training when required.
  • Effectively managing late programme and promotional changes.
  •  Act to support less experienced colleagues in the execution of their duties as required and, when requested, to better develop the strengths of the team.
  • Play a key role in the accurate attachment and resolution of issues with templates to ensure maximum minutage for Sky Media, thus playing a vital role in generating revenue.
  • Increase your knowledge and understanding of key stakeholder teams such as Playout, Media Planning, Programme Planning, Creative, Compliance, Production and Continuity.
