The role

As a Paralegal you will work with a team in the Court of Protection department of Anthony Gold, working in a team of Partners, Solicitors and Paralegals.

Your role will include the following, but additional tasks may be added as appropriate for the role:

  • To assist in the provision of administrative and legal services for clients.
  • To assist where requested the provision of legal advice to clients, under supervision. Take notes in client meetings.
  • Attend clients at hospitals, care homes and in their home.
  • Make regular payments to clients and keep accurate schedules of these payments. Also forecast forward spending and creating of budgets.
  • Day to day contact with clients and their individual lifestyle requirements.
  • Manage professionally and confidentially, written and telephone correspondence with clients, other solicitors and third parties
  • Delegate and supervise tasks where appropriate.
  • Work as a part of a team under the supervision of a Partner of the firm.
  • May also receive cases from several Partners and solicitors within the team.
  • Provide an efficient and friendly service to our clients.
  • Produce plain English letters, witness statements, court applications and other documents as required.
  • Maintain client care standards as set out in the firm’s terms of business and office manual.
  • Continue to develop your legal ability

Qualifications

  • Degree in Law and previous experience of working in a Court of Protection role.
  • Studying for LPC or already have an LPC or SQE1.
