The role

As a Paralegal, you will work with a team in the Injury and Medical Claims department of Anthony Gold, assisting a partner and three associate solicitors with their caseload of serious injury cases and helping to progress these. The Paralegal role for the Injury and Medical claims team will be responsible for supporting fee-earners based in our London Bridge office.

Your role will include the following, but additional tasks may be added as appropriate for the role:

To assist in the provision of administrative and legal services for clients, including:

  • Taking new client enquiries, often from personal referral sources.
  • Meeting with new clients under supervision, setting up matters in compliance with our professional standards and assisting with tasks to ensure early progression of the matter.
  • Drafting witness statements where appropriate under supervision.
  • Preparing and filing Court documents where appropriate under supervision.
  • Drafting instructions to experts and Counsel where appropriate under supervision.
  • Attending expert appointments as appropriate, conferences with Counsel and Court fixtures to include case management conferences, interim hearings and Trial.
    Delegate and supervise tasks where appropriate:
  • Preparing bundles of medical records and hearing bundles for Court both yourself and with the assistant of our business administration services team as appropriate.
  • Proactively following up on requests for records and other information as my have been requested by other members of the team
  • Arranging payments to clients and ensuring a system of payments of invoices and fee notes as appropriate.
  • Ensuring that files and papers stored electronically are organised and accessible when needed.

Work for the relevant team of the team and take responsibility for

  • Dividing your time so as to provide an efficient and friendly service to our clients.
  • Managing phone and email correspondence with clients and other third parties professionally and with confidence.
  • Keeping a task list and meeting regularly with your supervisors to discuss progression and for their input on matters arising.
  • Updating and completing your timesheets to ensure there is an accurate record of your time. Training and professional development:

Qualifications
