As a Graduate Fire Consultant, you will be expected to support in the successful delivery of high-quality fire consultancy work, as commissioned through Bellrock brands. At a more junior Consultant level you will support the Head of Fire Consultancy in the delivery of the fire consultancy projects appropriate for your level of knowledge and competency.

  • Nurturing key client relationships as we focus on a true consultative approach, ensuring that our clients not only receive a great service and technical excellence but also understand how to implement our findings.
  • Oversee the delivery of projects, providing and maintaining a technically compliant service and high-quality deliverable.
  • Manage the day-to-day delivery of work for self and others.
  • Develop key client accounts and be their professional and trusted point of contact for the client.
  • Act as the focal point for project engagements
  • Ensuring the successful delivery of the project(s).
  • Assist in the creation and development of reporting outputs, survey methodologies and project management tasks.
  • Assist in supporting sustainable service growth, statutory compliance and governance, client and staff retention, and development of our client base.
  • Support development of colleagues, where appropriate, so they have the skills and motivation to undertake their roles, including delivery of content at Fire Division CPD events.

What does it take?

If you’re ready to be the energy that helps us build our business, share our success, and really own it as a Graduate Fire Consultant you’ll need:

  • Professional membership with a Fire related professional body.
  • Hold a Level 4 Fire Safety qualification or higher.
  • Fire Engineering degree beneficial.
  • Sound knowledge of fire safety and fire risk.
  • High degree of direction, self-reliance, assertiveness, passion and enthusiasm to succeed.
  • Creates new and imaginative approaches to work related issues. Identifies fresh approaches and shows a willingness to question traditional assumptions.
  • Personal motivation – enthusiastic and willing to improve, commits self to work hard towards goals.
  • Good understanding of business risk and opportunities, whilst interpreting business needs and championing decisive action.
  • Mentors and provides guidance to other consultant in supporting their development.
  • Displays strong planning, communication, and people skills together with a “hands-on” approach.
  • Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, ability to influence diverse groups and engage both internally and externally; has passion and enthusiasm to succeed.

Working arrangements

We embrace smarter working practices which offer our employees the opportunity to work their hours flexibly and remotely where their roles and business needs allow. In this role, the successful candidate would be home based. Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5pm, based on 37.5 hours per week.
