We are recruiting for a Broker Services Technician within our Credit Management department. 

Main purpose

To provide services to the syndicate and service companies by co-ordinating the processing of premiums and claims through the in-house brokers.

Main responsibilities:

  • To provide support to the CBS Team Leader.
  • To assist in the analysis of information received from our service companies and companies who deal directly with Canopius for Processing.
  • Assist in producing premium LPANS and upload documentation onto the IMR
  • Understanding Claims processing via Xchanging (DXC)
  • Liaise with our underwriting and claims departments and Xchanging in order to resolve queries.
  • Assist the direct settlements team with the reconciliation of accounts.
  • To learn all internal and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure coverholders comply with Lloyd’s and Xchanging processing requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external contacts.
  • Assist in the resolution of legacy issues including to clear and reconcile cash.
  • Assist with projects and additional duties related to CBS Team functions.
  • Provide technical support to other members of the team.
  • Produce ad-hoc reports as required.
  • Co-ordinate account management, credit control and data reconciliation.

Skills & experiences

  • English and Maths at GCSE or A Level
  • Intermediate Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook
  • Familiarity with the broker’s role within the Lloyds environment
  • Familiarity with the Underwriters role within a Syndicate environment
  • Familiarity with Xchanging processes
  • Knowledge of London Market practices and regulatory requirements
