An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Finance Analyst, where you will report to the Operations Finance Manager. The successful individual will support the Operations Finance Manager by providing financial insight and analysis. Areas of responsibility will include our contracts and own label business, the analysis of two of our smaller operational sites as well as supporting the wider operations team by identifying opportunities to add value, improving controls and processes and optimising ways of working and reporting.

About the role

A key part of the role will involve business partnering with the wider business; including but not limited to the contracts and own label team, procurement, planning and quality. The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of robust and timely management information. In addition, you will continue to develop and improve the financial processes and controls.

Key accountabilities

  • Providing financial support and analysis to our contracts and own label part of the business
  • Supporting the finances of the site P&L and Balance Sheet for two smaller operational sites
  • Assisting the wider operations team including ad hoc finance projects to deliver increased value to the business
  • Support key decision-makers with clear communication and analysis.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly reviews clearly identifying variances to expectations
  • Supporting the Operations Finance Manager with the consolidation of operations consolidated results.
  • Assisting with the preparation of the financial reporting requirements throughout the year including weekly forecast, month end, quarterly forecasting and Annual budget cycle;
  • Provision of information to auditors as part of annual audit cycle

About you

  • Degree in relevant subject and / or relevant work experience
  • Ability to work cross functionally
  • Motivated by adding value
  • Dedicated to providing user friendly and useful information to financial and non-financial teams.
  • Strong work ethic
  • Previous of experience in financial analysis, accounting or related discipline.
  • Advanced level proficiency in MS Excel
