As a Research Executive, you will provide support in the design, management and execution of a variety of secondary research projects (media measurement, influencers identification, risks assessment, landscape analysis, trends analysis, etc.).

The role

This role will give you the opportunity to work on a variety of projects under the direction of an Account Manager, yet will also allow you to take the lead on smaller ad-hoc assignments. This is an opportunity to work within a communications agency and expand your knowledge of how communications are brought to life and activated. At the same time, your projects will focus on larger issues impacting the environment our clients work in, whether this is understanding the impact of government legislation, tracking opinions and trends or segmenting the digital population. You will be part of an engaging, fast-paced environment, working with a dynamic and international team.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting in the overall design and execution of secondary research projects, including but not limited to:
  • Exploratory desk research
  • Designing Boolean searches/taxonomies
  • Data quality check
  • Data coding
  • Ongoing monitoring and reporting
  • Carrying out thorough and pertinent data analysis
  • Supporting in the production of research reports, using visual storytelling
  • Supplier relationship management
  • Working on a number of different projects at the same time (normally in different subject areas and across various methodologies)

Key candidate expectations

  • College or university degree in business, communications, social or political science, statistics, mathematics, economics, etc., or equivalent work experience in a similar role.
  • Previous experience in research (in an agency/research institute or in-house/client-side, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • High level of organisational and time management skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • An outgoing, ‘can do’ attitude with the ability to take responsibility for a variety of tasks
  • A ‘team player’ who is willing to help colleagues whenever necessary
  • Desire to learn, and a proactive attitude to doing so
  • Curiosity about what makes people think and act the way they do
  • Enjoys working in a dynamic & fast-paced environment
  • International research experience is a distinct advantage
  • Experience within a brand, public relations or consumer marketing insights agency is an advantage
  • Fluency in English is a must, fluency in other languages is an advantage
