Emperor Presentations has a fantastic opportunity for a full-time Junior Designer to join our expanding, best‑in‑class presentations team of 21 people in London.

We are looking to hire 4 Junior Designers to start and be trained simultaneously by our team of Senior Presentations specialists. We want to be the agency of choice for ambitious talent, so we are looking for brilliant people who actively want to create great things with us.

Emperor Presentations is a Group company of Emperor who are a corporate communications and creative agency with more than 300 employees specialising in reporting, brand, digital, employee engagement and sustainability.

The role

We are looking for creative individuals with an exceptional design portfolio, who would love to expand their skillset by learning to design engaging PowerPoint presentations – training will be provided. The designers will have the opportunity to work with an incredible variety of clients and projects. From keynote announcements for FTSE 100s, to small business start-up pitches and everything in between; delivering presentations that include animation, interactivity, templates, infographics and more.

You will be responsible for creating presentations that are professional, consistent and on-brand, whilst understanding and communicating content in a clear meaningful way.

Our new team members must be self‑motivated and professional with a ‘can-do’ attitude, who are comfortable working in a fast-moving environment; meeting tight deadlines across multiple projects without sacrificing attention to detail and creativity.

This position is based in our London office near Aldgate. There will be a requirement to work in the office 3 days a week, with flexibility to work from home on the remaining 2 days.

What you’ll be doing in this role

  • Working as an integral part of the team to design and build creative and impressive PowerPoint presentations and templates
  • Taking briefs and requirements from our project managers
  • Producing work both independently and collaboratively
  • Managing your time to meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Supporting other departments in the agency, delivering pitch and marketing collateral

What you’ll need to be successful in this role

  • A stand-out portfolio, showcasing projects you have worked on at university / freelancing or from previous work experience
  • BSc/BA in Design or a related field
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Strong visual design skills, with a focus on layouts, the ability to follow brand guidelines closely as well as create fresh concepts from scratch
  • An understanding of the creative requirements of a project
  • Highly detail oriented with an ability to carefully review work
  • Technically minded - more than just a designer, ability to at times interpret data heavy content, and utilise technical features within software
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with both colleagues and clients
  • Professional demeanour and an ability to use own initiative
  • Comfortable working on a PC (our clients are mostly PC based so we are too)
  • PowerPoint design experience is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided
