Equans Data Centers are seeking to appoint a Graduate Project Engineer – Mechanical to support our growing Data Centers.

The Graduate Project Engineer – Mechanical will join our Data Center team who are committed to providing cutting edge solutions to our clients. The Graduate Project Engineer – Mechanical will join our innovative team based in West Drayton.

They will work with the team and have responsibility for managing some Mechanical aspects of large projects from inception to completion, within set timescale, to high quality standards and within health and safety guidelines.

What you will deliver?

The successful candidate will be enrolled onto our graduate programme which is a two year structured training scheme. Our programme offers a balance of training and on the job learning to support the transition to becoming an accomplished professional.

Graduates will take responsibility for their careers, while we offer guidance and support to help reach their goals. The type of tasks the successful candidates will be involved with are:

  • Understanding and interpreting drawing and specifications to resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and problems as they arise.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to define project requirements and objectives.
  • Ensure quality control requirements are met and recorded in accordance with specifications.
  • Participate in meetings and discussions with stakeholders to provide updated on project status.
  • Have the ability to work within a given budget.
  • Assist the Site Manager in the management of materials.
  • Assist in ensuring that work is carried out in full conformance with quality, environmental and safety standards.

Who are we looking for?

  • A 2:1 degree in an applicable field i.e. Mechanical Engineering / Building Services Engineering.
  • The desire to build a career in the Mechanical Engineering industry.
  • Be self-motivated, with proven organisational ability and the drive to meet deadlines.
  • Customer focused with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Passionate about the industry and the willingness to progress.
