About the role

Our Management Accounts team are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant, to support the internal accounting reconciliations and reporting requirements for our UK&I entities. Working with the team you will develop a variety of accounting skills and be exposed to a broad range of activities.

This is a great opportunity for candidates looking to develop a career in Finance and Accounts, we offer ongoing training and development including AAT, CIMA or ACCA qualifications.

Working as a Assistant Management Accountant you will have exposure to:

  • The preparation and upload of Trial Balances to group software packages
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Assisting with Marketing Project Accounting and postings
  • Inter-Company Trial Balance and Reconciliation with global entities
  • Preparation & completion of local Management Account reporting templates
  • Calculation and supporting evidence of monthly revenue cut-off journals.
  • Controlling the fixed asset and demo stock register including depreciation journals
  • Calculating and posting stock provisions.
  • Calculating and posting monthly accruals and prepayments
  • Produce and calculate reconciliation of expenses.
  • Maintaining GRNI and IRNC sheets
  • Assisting with prep, reconciliation and submission of VAT returns, EC sales list and Intrastat declaration
  • Assisting with the production of the annual budget for submission.
  • Provide information and supporting evidence required for Year End & Interim Audits
  • Generation of companies house and HMRC reports

About you

The ideal Assistant Management Accountant:​

  • Be AAT or Degree qualified or have experience within accounts up to and including Trial Balance
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills are a must.
  • Be a Self-starter with the capability of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Have excellent attention to detail and ability to self-review work
  • Be process driven and be keen to identify and develop potential improvements.
  • Have a flexible and proactive approach with the ability to take initiative.
  • Ability to present documents in a clear, cohesive manner.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be supportive and deadline driven
  • Be keen to learn and progress
