Are you a Scientist of the future? Start your science career today with this fantastic opportunity with the world's leading Flavours and Fragrance company. Working at one of our key fragrance production sites, you will assist within the dynamic Sensory Team.

Collaborate and support: working closely with our Sensory team to assist in the running of external and internal panels and provide olfactory assessments reliably and consistently. Developing a sense of pride: in your work, Givaudan and the Fragrance and Flavours industry.

What you will do

Who wants to collaborate and learn together with teams who are as passionate as you are? Then come join us - and impact your world. Your day to day laboratory tasks will include the following:

  • Making up perfumed product samples
  • Preparing samples for sensory assessment by internal or external panelists, including hair washing and organisation of fabric washing, labelling and wrapping, preparation of dish wash or surface cleaning samples, or accurate weighing and decanting of individual product samples
  • General maintenance and organization of laboratory areas, particularly before and after testing sessions, ensuring tidiness and a safe environment at all times
  • Maintenance of laboratory supplies needed to carry out daily tasks
  • Support with running sensory panels
  • Setting up and running sensory test sessions (with the support and guidance of the sensory scientist leading the test)
  • Running sensory tests ensuring accuracy in sample randomisation and delivery.
  • Support with naïve volunteer panels
  • Support with organising testing with volunteers including recruiting, briefing, supplying samples and collating data (with the support and guidance of the sensory scientist leading the test).
