Are you ready to kickstart your career in the world of financial planning? We are looking for an individual to join our dynamic team of Trainee Financial Advisers and Financial Advisers.

You’ll be working 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday. We are open for our clients between 8am to 6pm therefore, you will work 8 hour shift patterns within this time. The role will initially be office-based for a 6 month probation period. However, there is the possibility after this for hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days a week in the office.

Basic starting salary £25,000 plus monthly bonus. Bonus payable once probation has been completed. Annual OTE of £29,800. We are based in Medway City Estate and there’s free on-site parking available.

About the role

You’ll play a crucial role in supporting the advice process related to pension conversions, pension income options, and pension switching.

You’ll be responsible for conducting fact-finding calls with clients and work with our qualified team of advisers to deliver financial advice. Whilst working alongside our qualified financial advisers, you will learn on the job and have exposure to real work advising, along with ongoing studies towards a CII Level 4 qualification.

Key responsibilities

  • Undertake fact-finding, research, and analysis related to pension conversion, pension income options, and pension switching
  • Engage in various telephone communications to support the advice process
  • Proactively contribute to advice and process improvements
  • Respond to file review requests and conduct remedial actions as required
  • Contribute to exciting projects across the business
  • Maintain your competence and stay updated with regulations and industry/FCA guidance and practice

  • Have the ability to work swiftly and accurately in a technically complex area, prioritising good customer outcomes
  • Have excellent telephone manner and communication skills
  • Have the ability to engage in warm, friendly and empathetic conversations with clients, especially those you’re speaking with for the first time.
  • Are self-motivated, disciplined and driven towards succeeding.
  • Are happy to commit to the qualification expectations

As this is a trainee role, you do not need to have previous experience.

Qualification expectations

To excel in this role, you should have R01 or the CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. However, don’t worry if you don’t have it yet, as we will support you in obtaining this qualification.

Within 36 months of becoming a Trainee Financial Adviser you must obtain a relevant Level 4 qualification in retail financial services. To enable us to deliver the best possible service to our clients and create a positive working environment, as a company we abide by these core values:
