We are now seeking applications from exceptional graduates keen to start and develop their career as Consultants in our European headquarters in Central London.

Job description

Following a suitable training period, conducting hotel real estate and related sector valuations, economic feasibility studies and strategic reviews.
This may involve, among other things:

  • Fieldwork: travel to the local market area typically for between three and five days, occasionally for longer periods when multiple studies are carried out
  • Inspections: tours of the subject property and competitive properties and conducting interviews with senior professionals
  • Desk research: using telephone, internet searches, published data sources, known sources of reliable information
  • Meetings or telephone conversations with relevant sources of information including, for example, general managers, sales managers, financial controllers, local government officials, planners, other valuers, real estate agents, bankers
  • Analysis of data obtained during research
  • Preparation of detailed financial projections, financial forecasting of income and expense, and discounted cash flow analysis
  • Carrying out RICS red book valuations
  • Drafting of reports in accordance with the assignment engagement letter, RICS requirements and HVS house style in faultless English.
  • Liaison with clients during the assignment as directed by the assignment manager and handling revisions to the final report

Essential qualifications

  • A first or second degree from an internationally recognised hotel school/ A first or second degree in real estate, economics, business administration, finance or similar together with professional experience in a hotel related field
  • Strong English language skills, both written and spoken
  • Strong level of numeracy and an analytical aptitude
  • Strong computer skills, including financial modelling (Excel), word processing (Word) and presentations (PowerPoint)

Desirable qualifications

  • The ability to speak at least one other European language
  • Driving license
