The role

The Content Editor/Junior Copywriter will work with stakeholders from across the business to write, amend, and manage customer communications across multiple channels, primarily letters, email, IVR and SMS, there will also be opportunities for creative copywriting across media, including our websites.

The Editor is responsible for ensuring that all communications meet regulatory and legal standards and is the subject matter expert for the customer content letter/email suite, providing insight and data to stakeholders on request and proactively, where appropriate.

Some of your key accountabilities and responsibilities

  • Creation of new content across channels, for different business areas, to support the development of new strategies, drive collections, increase engagement, and promote Lowell’s digital channels.
  • Approve content on behalf of Compliance and ensure it meets regulatory requirements.
  • To manage the Editor inbox and log, prioritise and allocate all outstanding content requests.
  • Chair weekly meetings to ensure stakeholders’ expectations are managed.
  • Obtain appropriate sign-off for all new content/amendments to content both in SharePoint and in the Bespoke Template Library and maintain version control log for audit purposes.
  • Liaise with the Software Config team to ensure that bulk changes (such as Trustpilot reviews, artwork and/or Footer changes) are made across appropriate channels and assets to meet deadlines.
  • Manage relationships with the business approvers from Compliance and Operations and SMEs from across the business who issue customer content.
  • Support the Client Team/Operations/Onboarding with the creation and management of Notice of Assignments (NOAs) to assist with purchase and onboarding of new account portfolios.

What do we need from you?

  • Educated to English GCSE level (or similar standard) or equivalent.
  • Experience writing marketing copy/copywriting or journalism
  • Working in a fast-paced and change-oriented business.
  • Managing a large workload to tight deadlines.
  • Playing a leading role and positively influencing the culture within changing environments.
  • Marketing, copywriting, journalism, web content design.
  • Ideally some experience of working in Financial Services.
