As a Service Technician, you will be engaging directly with our clients through various channels in resolving technical issues using remote support tools, as necessary. This includes receiving, prioritising, documenting, and actively resolving end user requests. Problem solving and technical investigations using suitable engineering software's. Technical assistance to varied engineering and managerial disciplines including but not limited to: Controls, HVAC, Electrical, Fire and Security Engineers, Facilities Managers, IT Specialists and Energy Managers

The role is primarily office based with the ability to operate from home when required.

Your responsibilities 

  • Ensuring company policies, processes and working practices are adhered to
  • Providing reactive support services to our Digital Maintenance solutions adhering to defined SLA's and KPI's
  • Providing proactive services to our Digital Maintenance solutions
  • Supporting our in house digital platforms
  • Managing incoming communications and queries adhering to strict SLA's and KPI's
  • Take an active involvement in the development of systems and processes within the team.
  • Taking ownership of project tasks ensuring the timely and successful completion
  • Managing your overall performance and productivity against key indicators and using strategies that will help with increasing efficiency.
  • Maintaining workloads and solutions to support the business.
  • Supporting all functions inherent to the business to deliver success.
  • Building interdepartmental relationships and supporting best practice working practices
  • Managing pipeline works from varying sources as direct by the Delivery Manager and Leadership Teams.
  • Providing support to team members and clients with queries at all levels
  • Completing maintenance activities remotely
  • Configuring Monitoring Solutions to operate efficiently, supported by our lead technical and solutions engineers.
  • Problem solving for customers, working with the right team and appropriately skilled teammates
  • Ability to react to alarms that are generated by the technology solutions
  • Supporting technology deployment within the Smart Buildings industry
  • Supporting field-based teams with queries and technical advice as is needed.
  • To participate in any activity that is deemed appropriate for the role as instructed by the leadership team

What we are looking for

  • Willingness and passion to learn and commitment to your development
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of technology within the building services industry is advantageous.
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft products
  • Knowledge of IOT products and services is an advantage.
  • Wants to know how things work and more importantly why.
  • A qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Energy Engineering or relevant field or equivalent experience in previous role
  • Keen interest in technologies keeping abreast of new market products and solutions.
  • Knowledge of computer programming, database languages, web design or logic programs will aid in your development within this industry
