The role will involve the following

  1. Business acumen with an end-to-end perspective about how to support the embedment of sustainability into a business strategy and how to create value by either reducing risk or saving money.
  2. Data literacy with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data in a meaningful way. This includes tracking carbon reduction and environmental performance against KPIs.
  3. Identifying returns on investment (financial and carbon savings) from the introduction of carbon reduction measures and making suggestions for delivery against the plan.
  4. ESG implementation, management and reporting with knowledge on a broad range of environmental issues and ability to identify strategies to reduce or offset emissions.
  5. ISO 14001 and legal compliance knowledge.
  6. Coordination and administration of an Advisory Group.

Location

This position will be based in Southampton. The centre is well connected by public transport and has ample cycle parking in addition to free onsite car-parking equipped with EV charging stations.

Second and final interviews will be held at The National Oceanography Centre, located at European Way, Southampton, SO14 3ZH, on Thursday 25th April.
