Birmingham Newman University is in an exciting period of growth, and we are seeking a Graduate Student Recruitment Officer to join our dynamic marketing team on a 2-year fixed term contract.

The role

For the right candidate, this varied role will offer the opportunity to get involved in projects and develop marketing-related skills and commercial awareness.

This is a fast-paced role where no two days will be the same. As such, we would like the successful applicant to ‘hit the ground running’. Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills are essential, as well as the ability to plan ahead, use initiative and work as part of a team. In return, we will offer on the job training, guidance, and support.

Interviews will take place in April 2024

Responsibilities

The post holder will deliver recruitment strategy, building relationships with schools and colleges and developing links across the region. They will take the internal experience of being at Newman University to schools, colleges as well as supporting on-campus events, e.g., campus tours, as well as supporting wider events e.g. Open Days. The role supports the increasing the awareness of the university and thus enquiries and applications to our courses. The post holder will work across corporate and subject levels to develop working relationships with academic staff as well as School and College partners.
