This is a broad role that would suit a graduate or someone with 1-2 years experience in a junior marketing role. The work will span a broad range of marketing and communications topics including social media, employer branding, marketing and internal communications. This role would suit a generalist potentially looking to eventually specialise in a particular area.  The role will support the incumbent team comprising 3 area leads: Creative and Video, General Marketing, and Internal Communications. This is a 1 year fixed term role to begin with, reporting initially to the Head of Brand and Communications.

What you will do

  • Pull together content to produce and schedule social media posts;
  • Sift through existing materials (such as images, video, written articles) and help curate it into social content;
  • Develop PowerPoint slide decks for marketing and/or internal comms purposes;
  • Load content such as news stories onto the company intranet;
  • Maintain and update the company website;
  • Proof read written content for publication internally and/or externally;
  • Pull together content to coordinate the execution of internal communications campaigns;
  • Monitor and collate data on traffic across internal and external channels to help identify areas for improvement;
  • Liaise with suppliers to order branded materials in accordance with the procurement process;
  • Support with the execution of events such as trade shows and recruitment fairs.

Who you are

  • A good eye for content;
  • Able to produce written copy;
  • Proficient in your use of MS PowerPoint;
  • Experienced in using content management systems such as WordPress;
  • Organised and able to manage deadlines;
  • Ability to take ownership;
  • Driven, proactive and able to work with little supervision;
  • Excellent time management skills and able to work in a fast paced environment;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Fluent in English language.

Desirable

  • Experience using the Adobe Suite at a basic level;
  • Degree in a business or marketing related topic.

Salary for this position

Southampton: Up to £28,000 per annum

Porto: Up to €20,000 per annum.

The salary varies for this position as we are recruiting in multiple regional locations and job grades. The salary process is based on skills, abilities, and experience required.
