What you need to know

The Project Coordinator is a key member of the project team, supporting the Project Management by taking responsibility for coordinating and expediting engineering, procurement and construction scopes and activities to meet the project schedule and expectation of our clients. They will work closely with the Project Engineer and Planner (if assigned to the project) to align all activities to ensure the project schedule, goals and KPIs are achieved.

Our Key Accountabilities (includes, but not limited to the following):

  • Form excellent working relationships with the Project Manager (Manager of Projects or Senior Project Manager) and all the resources within the EPC functions supporting the project. Develop and support clear lines of communications with these people.
  • Ensure alignment with the project execution plan for completion of the project demonstrating excellence throughout.
  • Positively contribute to HSSE throughout the project and be seen as positively influencing safety culture and measures in all project phases, encouraging, and supporting initiatives.
  • Support the setup of the project Risk and Change Management tools.
  • Understand and align with the contract requirements.
  • Have detailed knowledge of the project schedule and always ensure alignment with this. Any deviations identified must be communicated to project management Project Management.
  • Support and help to develop mitigation plans where schedule deviations and/or other challenges arise.
  • Work closely with engineering to ensure they are progressing as per project schedule and where necessary expedite where late to requirements.
  • Liaise with Supply Chain, advising on engineering status to release BOMs etc., for PO placement. Regularly follow up with buyers to ensure materials are being delivered as per schedule for manufacturing requirements and/or direct delivery to client or other internal and external sites. Where necessary expedite to ensure alignment.
  • Work with manufacturing planning to ensure build slots are allocated as per project requirements/schedule and liaise with them providing updates on engineering and procurement status to ensure on time start of in-house builds. During manufacturing support and expedite on time completion of materials.
  • Work with logistics, provide project information/documentation as required, to ensure on time delivery of materials to other Proserv sites and/or Client directly.
  • Ensure AX12 is regularly updated to reflect status of engineering, materials, and manufacturing.
  • Provide input for internal and external project reporting as required.
  • Provide input for project KPIs as requested.
  • Provide regular input for project “lessons learnt”.
  • Support Continuous Improvement mindset within project and look to identify and implement improvements where possible.
  • Support project close out phase.
  • Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by line management within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements.

About you

Education

Essential

  • Good standard or education including recognized qualification in English and Math.

Preferred

  • HNC, NVQ/SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualified in one of the following disciplines of Mechanical, Civil, Electrical.

Skills & experience

Essential

  • Strong work ethic.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Experienced in liaising with different stakeholders within a business
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Preferred

  • Subsea industry experience, preferable
  • Experience in supporting projects.
  • Experience in project execution processes and principles
  • Proficiency using Microsoft AX12
  • Proficiency using Primavera P6.
  • Proficiency using MS Project
