About the role

The Pilot Plant is a large area of the Science & Innovation Centre, Hull, which contains varied and complex equipment that is used by the Reckitt R&D teams to create innovative solutions for our customers. The Pilot Plant Technology Associate will provide technical expertise for equipment and procedures, they will support manufacturing activities and provide technical training, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed in a fully compliant manner.

Your responsibilities

  • Partnering within a matrix containing a wide group of people with differing priorities and high expectations.
  • Daily, fast-paced problem solving across multiple partner teams.
  • Providing technical rigour to the Reckitt Health group.
  • Delivering continuous improvement across all areas of responsibility
  • Driving simplification of ways of working across Reckitt maintaining compliance but recognising business specificities when required.
  • Keeping abreast of new technologies and regulatory guidelines
  • Practical, primarily on-site pilot plant role working within project teams on the development of new products
  • Practical tasks will include the delivery and weighing out of materials, processing liquid or solid formulations, completing required documentation and will span multiple projects at any one time

The experience were looking for

  • Experience within a scientific (typically chemistry, life-sciences, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, engineering) or business discipline.
  • Demonstrable track record of relevant GMP experience and competence within a Healthcare environment.
  • Familiar with and have experience in the implementation of new systems/equipment/processes within a GMP or regulated environment
  • Familiar with scale up and formulation processes, technical transfer, and process optimisation
  • Agile and capable to deal with a wide range of stakeholders and requirements.
  • Proactive, Resilient and Motivated
  • Strong innovation and problem-solving skills are key along with tenacity and the ability to influence and demonstrate strong teamwork and commitment.
  • Excellent computer skills and confident in using Quality One, TDS and office packages
  • Good motivational and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication and networking skills.
  • Self-disciplined; good organisational capabilities.
  • Experience in leading projects
