SCP, part of the RSK Group, is looking for a Graduate Transport Planner to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. Key responsibilities

  • To provide essential support for more senior personnel to ensure successful delivery of a commission;
  • To provide expertise and assistance in aspects of highway engineering and/or transportation planning for which they have been trained;
  • When required, to liaise/meet with other consultants and external members of the project team to co-ordinate information and resources;
  • To have an understanding of all the tools and techniques employed within the field of highway engineering and transportation planning;
  • To keep abreast of the latest development with respect to all the tools and techniques employed within the field of highway engineering and transportation planning; and,
  • To be conversant with all local and national planning policies and guidelines insofar as they relate to transportation and development.

Person specification

  • Relevant HND Qualification or Degree in Geography, Planning, Engineering or other related transport planning discipline.
  • The principles and techniques of transportation planning and traffic engineering.
  • Ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage time and work to strict deadlines.
  • Good interpersonal oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively.
  • Able to participate in and contribute to project-related discussions.
