Role purpose

To support the Accident & Health division through defined administrative responsibilities, providing support within Underwriting Controls and utilise the Underwriting Authority granted, within the set parameters, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and Company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Aggregate exposure monitoring
  • Slip Pre bind quality checks
  • Premium monitoring and related queries
  • Manage power BI reporting on performance management and act as Power BI champion for the team
  • Upload exposure data onto Sequal for accumulation monitoring
  • Collate and monitor reinsurance data
  • Bordereaux monitoring (missing BDX)
  • Filing – ensure files are complete and accurate.
  • Oversee accuracy of data entry on system.
  • Assist with compliance queries on renewals and new business.
  • Assist with delegated underwriting queries on renewal and new business.
  • Maintain and present the following reporting.
    • Risk log
    • Renewal reports
    • Top 10 individual exposures
    • Top 10 Group/event exposures
    • Top 10 best/worst performing accounts
    • Peer review outstanding
    • Top debtors (+/-)
    • Decline reports.
  • Wording database management
  • Manage PPL – Pull declarations, endorsements, slips and any leader only agreements to ensure files complete.

Experience

This is the perfect opportunity for a candidate who has 1 – 2 years’ experience in General Insurance or the London Market and is looking to attain CII qualifications, or a recent graduate/well-qualified school/college leaver.

We are looking for a candidate who is highly numerate and demonstrates a passion for developing their knowledge of this technical class. The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills in order to build good relationships with brokers and excellent IT and analytical skills. They should also demonstrate a high attention to detail.
