We have an exciting opportunity for a Software Project Manager to join our team in Swarco Smart Charging. This role is Home-based.

The role

The Software Project Manager is coordinating and organising projects around our Smart Charging management platform in the UK. Ensuring business success by deploying our software portfolio and expanding existing system solutions as well as providing support in the context of sales-oriented consulting in our customer projects. Support the product development process by analysing and describing customer requirements in the form of requirements specifications, backlogs and user stories. Planning, managing and monitoring projects in combination with risk, change request and stakeholder management.

Key responsibilities

  • Building strong and long-term internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Planning, controlling and documentation of projects of different size and complexity and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Ensure the projects are completed within the committed time scales (including project plans)
  • Planning required resources internal & external
  • Building knowledge of our SWARCO Smart Charging product range and the E-Mobility business
  • Analysing and describing customer requirements in the form of requirements specifications, backlogs and user stories
  • Identifying requirement gaps and supporting the team with the issue management
  • Support the creation of software documentation and manuals
  • Attendance of required rhythm meetings and conference calls
  • Be the main SWARCO point of contact during projects

Your profile

  • Degree in computer science, business administration with IT or Software oriented field of study being a benefit.
  • High IT affinity, strong interest and understanding of technical implementation, sound experience of UX methodologies.
  • Agile mindset as well as practical experience with agile methods in software development (Scrum)
  • Experience as software project manager in cross-functional teams desirable but not mandatory
  • The position is also suitable for applicants who have successfully completed college / university and have initial professional experience in the field of IT / Software project management.
  • Effective Project Management in an agile environment
  • Hand-on experience in the use of project management gained from previous projects and activities as well as basic software development know-how
  • Good understanding of business procedures and processes
  • Excellent ability to communicate orally and in writing at all levels in the organisation
  • Client liaison and customer focus
  • Able to work under pressure and make important decisions and abide by them
  • Good administration and co-ordination skills
  • Strong motivation to achieve, well organised and structured approach
  • A basic willingness to travel should be present
