Taking up a new position within our central services, we are seeking an aspiring, driven Junior Performance Media Executive to join our vibrant, inclusive Performance Media Team, supporting the organic growth of the Forge Holiday Group and its agency brands.

About the role

As our newest Junior, you will be supported fully by our dedicated team, given full training and gaining exposure to a wide range of digital marketing platforms and strategies whist you grow your budding skills within a fast-paced, passionate environment. Providing crucial support to the Performance Media Manager, our newest Junior will work across all Consumer-focused initiatives, taking ownership of ensuring operational excellence of campaigns across paid media channels but with a specific focus on paid search to deliver against Forge Group consumer lead targets.

Your responsibilities

Reporting into the Performance Media Manager, our newest Junior member of the team will be responsible for the following:

  • PPC (Pay-Per Click)
    • Day-to-day management of assigned Google Ads and Microsoft Paid Search campaigns
    • Campaign optimisation across paid search, paid social and any other campaign channels
    • Reporting accurate data to Performance Media Manager and providing updates on testing initiatives
    • Proactive and enthusiastic attitude to learning about how PPC advertising works and developing the skills needed to run successful campaigns at scale
  • Paid Social
    • Support paid social campaign building, optimisation and reporting against paid social targets
    • Work with Organic Social team to identify suitable collaborations
    • Build relationships and work with external partners (Meta, TikTok) to align Sykes paid social activity to best practices, new innovations and adopt new tools to improve performance
  • Other
    • Support wider performance media team (App & Owner) and support other marketing functions on an ad-hoc basis
    • Collaborate with other internal teams (CRM, Data & Analytics, Owned & Earned Media) on shared projects
  • Personal Management
    • Effectively manage own time, resources and journey plans to achieve maximum efficiency and productivity

    • Adhere to hybrid working model, with at least two days a week in 1CP Office

  • Relevant Degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Maths etc or a minimum requirement or 1+ years’ experience in a relevant discipline
  • Experience of working within an office environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with special attention to Excel
  • Be able to communicate effectively and professionally
  • Interest in digital marketing, paid media and the travel industry
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced, delivery oriented environment

  • Willingness to learn and to invest time and effort in their own professional and personal growth

Although standouts will also have

  • Experience of working within a marketing role is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided
  • Paid media experience is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided
  • Experience of the Travel Industry
  • Strong technical skills (able to interact directly with colleagues in IT)
  • Understanding of the current digital marketing landscape is highly advantageous.
  • Interest in automation and AI solutions highly advantageous
  • Basic understanding of the modern customer journey (Sales Funnel/Cycle), digital marketing metrics and lifetime customer value would be advantageous

  • Paying a salary up to £22,400 per annum working / 37.5 hours per week / Monday-Friday 9am-5.30pm
