The role
The Graduate Intern role is an exciting opportunity for those at the start of their career and interested in office administration and project support. This fast-paced role will be based in the Vice Chancellor’s Office, focusing on supporting the work of the Vice Chancellor’s Executive and will include wide ranging and varied tasks, including project and event support, procurement, diary management and other general administrative tasks.
The role will allow you to understand how the whole Vice Chancellor's Office department works, giving you an excellent overall knowledge of administrative and support functions. You will work alongside members of the Executive as well as the Executive Assistants and Admin Assistant.
The role will be based at our Carlisle Fusehill Street campus and we would ideally be looking for someone to start over the summer (August at the latest, although happy to discuss for the right candidate). Technology will be provided should any home working be required. With the university employing around 900 staff, we would also hope that at the end of your internship there will be a place for you to continue working with us.
