Our research hub is dedicated to advancing knowledge in various fields, supported by grants from national government departments, local government, charities, and research councils. We are currently seeking a diligent Temporary Project Officer to provide essential support across our diverse portfolio of projects.

This role is for 12 weeks and paying £17.38 p/hr + Holiday Pay.

Duties:

  • Serve as the primary contact for designated projects, fostering positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Assist in project planning, scoping, and setup as required.
  • Monitor project tasks, risks, timelines, and budget, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues, striving for continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain monitoring and reporting systems aligned with sponsor requirements.
  • Provide administrative support for projects and maintain office systems and records.
  • Assist in organising meetings and events, including diary management support for the Centre Director.

Essential selection criteria

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in academic, research, and/or policy environments.
  • Proficiency in project management, including relevant tools and software.
  • Strong prioritisation skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently.
  • Experience in team facilitation, especially remotely.
  • Ability to handle confidential data responsibly.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and website CMS.
