Our Hazard Communication Group is a rapidly growing part of the business, reflecting the increased emphasis companies are placing on Environment, Health and Safety as critical to their business.

Our work consists of creating Safety Data Sheets and Labels for products as diverse as consumer products such as detergents and pet care products to industrial energy products, so that our clients and their customers can use and dispose of their chemical products in a safe manner. The work requires attention to detail, critical thinking and robust decision-making skills. You will be working in an international and diverse team.

Roles and responsibilities

Our work consists of creating Safety Data Sheets and Labels for products as diverse as consumer products such as detergents and pet care products to industrial energy products, so that our clients and their customers can use and dispose of their chemical products in a safe manner. The work requires attention to detail, critical thinking and robust decision-making skills. You will be working in an international and diverse team.

Offered as an 18-month programme, you will receive full training and you will learn your technical skills on the job. At the end of the programme you will be a fully-fledged Safety Data Sheet Author. This position offers excellent career and growth opportunities for talented, highly motivated individuals.

Once you are fully trained there will be opportunities to move into client-facing and managerial roles, as well as opportunities to pursue a more technical career path. You could get involved in delivering our training courses, providing consultancy, developing new services and managing large projects.

Profile and qualifications

We are looking for graduates who would like to pursue a career in Hazard Communication. Prior experience is not required as you will receive comprehensive training, however a demonstrable affinity for chemistry is a plus. Skills required for the role:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific discipline desired. A strong preference for Chemistry, Biology or Biomedicine, Pharmaceutical Science, Natural Sciences, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or a similar subject.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Logical and analytical with the ability to solve problems quickly
  • Ability to successfully manage a fluctuating workload
  • Good at working well on your own and as part of a growing dynamic team
  • Ability to work well under pressure

The interview process

  • Selected applicants will be invited to do an on-line general aptitude test.
  • The shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a hazard classification exercise. All the information you need to complete the exercise will be provided.
