terms & conditions and privacy policy*

  1. These Rules (including our Bright Privacy Policy) govern the use of the Bright Network and set out the terms of the contract between Bright London (UK) Ltd Ltd (“us/we") and each Network Member. A ‘Network member’ is an individual that registers with the Bright Network (“Bright”) and their application is accepted by Bright.
  2.  A Network Member can apply to register with the Bright Network ("Bright") by applying for a Bright Network invitation and can then use the Bright Network to find useful career information and be served with targeted career suggestions. If you apply to register with Bright you accept these rules. We may refuse an application for any good reason.
  • We will set up a Bright profile to record your Bright activity, personal information and career preferences. The Bright Network is designed to make it easy for you to share your career-related information and receive targeted suggestions from Bright and its partners and relevant third parties. You decide how much information you feel comfortable sharing on the network through your privacy settings.
  • Your public profile will not display: Contact details, anything that is an infringement of the Bright Terms & Conditions or Privacy Policy
  • You display in your public profile: any other information that you have shared with us that is not an infringement of the Bright Terms & Conditions or Privacy Policy
  1. Network Members must be over 18.
  2. Bright has Partners who advertise their organisations, events and career opportunities to Network Members on the Bright Website (www.brightnetwork.co.uk) and through other Bright channels. These participating companies may change - an up to date list of Partners is available from us at any time. Partners determine the particular information which they share with Network Members. We allow advertisers to select characteristics of users they want to show their advertisements to and we use the information we have collected to serve those advertisements.
  3. All listed opportunities and events are subject to both availability and the preferences of both Bright and its Partners. Opportunities secured or events attended directly with the relevant Partner are the Partner’s responsibility and we have no responsibility for the standard, quality or otherwise of any services received or supplied or the failure of a Partner to honour an event or offer of opportunity or make a specific opportunity, event or piece of information available. These events, opportunities and pieces of information are subject to all applicable legal rules and the terms and conditions (including limitations of liability) of the Partner. When opportunities are applied for, events are held or information is supplied, we may act as intermediary between the relevant Network Member and the Partner and we will do what we can to ensure such opportunities, events and pieces of information are supplied by the relevant Partner. Bright will not assume responsibility for the acts of the Partner when acting as an intermediary and Bright is not an agent for the Partner.
  4. We will correct a Bright profile if it is shown to our reasonable satisfaction to be wrong but, unless there are clear records showing this, our decision is final. If you disagree with our decision you can contact Bright and have your profile removed from www.brightnetwork.co.uk.
  5. Our Privacy Policy (which is part of these Rules) sets out the information that we will gather on Network Members, how a Network Member uses his/her Network Membership, how this information will be used and who it may be shared with. It is included on certain other materials we publish and is available from us. We will comply with our Privacy Policy – every Network Member should read it carefully.
  6. If a Network Member notifies us that they do not wish to receive marketing information from us or be contacted by us for promotional purposes in connection with Bright and/or by Bright’s Partners and other third parties deemed appropriate by Bright we will comply with such requests and pass on any relevant request to Partners and third parties. If for any reason we need to transfer personal information outside the European Union for a specific purpose, we will ensure that it is treated to UK standards.
  7. If a Network Member thinks an unauthorised person has become aware of any Bright password, they should contact Bright immediately. We cannot be responsible for any unauthorised use of a Network Member’s profile or unauthorised activity on the Bright Website.
  8. We may remove any Network Member from the Bright Network at any time and for any reason. We may also, on notifying the Network Member, immediately suspend or terminate the rights of any Network Member, and/or close any relevant Bright Profile, if they breach these Rules, if we reasonably believe that they have acted in a manner not permitted by these Rules or any applicable Partner's terms and conditions, if there is any theft from or misconduct in connection with us or any Partner, if they supply false or misleading information to us or if they are abusive or offensive to any member of our staff or other Network Member. A Network Member can close his/her Bright Network Membership at any time by notifying us. If a Network Member’s membership is closed his/her rights to access any aspect of Bright’s services are lost. Bright will delete any personal data held about the Network Member if that member’s Membership has closed.
  9. We may make changes to these Rules and will give the Network Member as much notice as we reasonably can. We may suspend or terminate the Bright (Network?) but will give as much notice as we reasonably can before we do so. If this happens all Network Memberships will be suspended or terminated. If we sell or transfer Bright to another company we may transfer all of our rights and obligations under these Rules without any further consent and may disclose or transfer all information we hold about Network Members or prospective Network Members to a prospective or actual new owner. Such a disclosure or transfer will not alter the rights of such Network Members in respect of the use that can be made of such information by such other company.
