Bright Network and HSBC Upper Sixth Form Conference
Connecting the brightest state sixth formers with world-leading employers

On Tuesday 14th February Bright Network, in association with HSBC, will be hosting its first Upper Sixth Form Conference for selected bright state school students.
At HSBC’s offices in London’s Canary Wharf, you will take part in an afternoon of networking, skills sessions and presentations. This is a fantastic chance for you to learn about the opportunities available in four key graduate areas – Investment Banking, Commercial Law, Consulting and Professional Services – and to make contacts with representatives at leading firms including Allen & Overy and Ernst & Young before you head to university.
The day includes:
- • A networking skills session with Oli Barrett, the ‘most connected man in Britain’ (Wired, April 2009).
- • Introductions to Commercial Law, Management Consultancy and Professional Services from leading firms in each sector.
- • An introduction to Investment Banking from HSBC.
- • The opportunity to meet representatives from each firm attending.
- • A CV skills session from a leading entrepreneur.
There are only a small number of places available at this exclusive event. To apply to attend, you will need to have achieved A*s and As at GCSE, be studying for A levels (or equivalent) at a state school or state sixth form college and to be planning to attend university this autumn or next, following a Gap Year.
To apply, you will need to fill in a short application form. You can either download it here and the print, complete and return it to Sukhi Grewal, Bright Network, 13-14 New Bond Street, London W1S 3SX (or scan and email it to hello@brightnetwork.co.uk), or you can complete it online at brightnetwork.eventbrite.co.uk.
The deadline for all applications is Sunday 29th January 2012. We also have a limited number of travel bursaries for those students in receipt of EMA and living outside of the M25 – please complete the relevant section of the application form to be considered.
