About Lara: I am currently in my second year of study at Loughborough University. Alongside my role as Campus Champion, I am also squash captain for my hall and I enjoy playing badminton. My degree is sponsored by companies that often work with Bright Network such as Accenture and EY. Part of my degree requires us to enter a competition where we’re put into teams and given a brief which you then present back to a panel of judges. My team were lucky enough to win the competition and I personally won a spot prize which is something I’m really proud of! One of my other passions is baking and I’m best known for my chocolate orange cake.
Favourite thing about Bright Network: Definitely the events, the first proper interaction I had with Bright Network was a visit to their offices for a networking event, I enjoyed it so much I signed up for their Women In TEC and Festival events which give you the opportunity to network with lots of companies as well as other students and attend panels and workshops to learn top tips and new skills.
