Which events are taking place?
Bright Network FESTIVAL: 7th - 11th September
Choosing a career is one of the most important decisions you’ll ever make. That’s why Bright Network FESTIVAL, the UK’s number 1 graduate careers event, is back for its tenth year - and you're invited to be part of it.
Spanning over the week of 7th - 11th September, this is your unrivalled chance to meet over 70 exceptional employers, discover where your degree can take you and develop the tools you need to make sure you stand out in your applications.
With two sectors being covered each day, you will be able to tailor your experience to your individual interests and attend the skills workshops and panel sessions that interest you, making it a truly unique experience.
Women in TEC: 14th - 15th September
Are you a female Bright Network member interested in a career in Technology, Engineering or Consulting? Then don’t miss out on our next edition of Women in TEC: an unmissable chance to meet inspiring female leaders, network with top graduate employers and kickstart a successful career. Taking place over two afternoons, attending this event will highlight you as one of the best and brightest applicants to top firms.
This is what one member who joined us last September had to say about the event:
"I found the experience very dynamic, informative, and motivational. I was quite apprehensive coming here but I’m so happy I did because I’ve networked with so many firms and learnt so much about the different divisions and roles - I’ve really enjoyed myself!"
First Year Lawyers: 15th September
Do you want to kick-start your career in law and gain unique insights and hear invaluable advice from some of the best law firms in the world, all before you start your law degree? Then this is your opportunity to discover how you can carve out a successful career within the sector.
This September, we are looking for our brightest students about to start a law degree (graduating in 2023 or 2024 if on a four-year course) to join us for an exclusive event designed to build your network, get ahead in your career and leave you feeling empowered.
Women in Leadership: 16th - 17th September
We’re looking for 250 of our brightest female members to join us at our first virtual edition of Women in Leadership. Designed to celebrate, encourage and inspire our female members, this event will give you the chance to discover opportunities with world-leading firms in the Banking, Finance and Professional Services industries.
You'll hear from inspirational women who have overcome career challenges, implemented change and assumed key positions of leadership. They will be on hand to give you their insights to support your early career and enable you to discover how you can break into these sought-after sectors.
Future Lawyers Top 100: 17th - 18th September
This September, we’re looking for 100 of our brightest penultimate-year law members to join us for an exclusive event designed to help you to secure a coveted Vacation Scheme or Training Contract. This is your chance to meet some of the leading law firms in the world and gain the tools you need to impress during any application process.
Breaking into Commercial Law is competitive, which is why it’s vital to meet and build relationships with the firms you will be applying to in advance. With one-on-one time with trainees, partners and their recruitment teams, you’ll discover which is the right firm for you and the qualities they look for in an applicant.
"It was a fantastic experience - it's not common for so many of the world's leading firms to come together at events like this! The panellists were experienced and knowledgable, the graduate recruitment representatives were friendly and insightful, and the event as a whole was incredibly well organised. It definitely helped me secure a vacation scheme with one of the firms there!" - Christopher Ho, Future Lawyers Attendee
Black Heritage Future Leaders: 16th October
To celebrate Black History Month, Bright Network is partnering with 10+ leading graduate employers that are truly passionate about inclusion, diversity and equality for our virtual Black Heritage Future Leaders event. Be inspired by stories from successful professionals from our partner firms and learn from their personal experiences, as well as from successful Bright Network alumni who have now secured a graduate role.
We want this event to be an open and honest forum for discussion and for you to get your questions answered about beginning your career. That’s why you can feel comfortable asking a question either over video or through a chat function on our virtual platform.
Proud to B: 21st October
This October, we’re looking for 60+ of our brightest LGBTQ+ and ally members with an authentic passion for diversity and inclusion to join us for Proud to B. This two-hour webinar will give you the opportunity to hear from leading employers who are committed cultivating truly inclusive workplaces, where members of the LGBTQ+ community are actively encouraged to bring their authentic self to work.
Our aim, above all, is to open your eyes to the wide range of incredible opportunities available to you, while encouraging you to share your authentic self with the world. You will be able to ask questions either through the chat function or on video and choose to have video on or off throughout the webinar.
Diverse Legal Leaders: 2nd November
This November, we’re delighted to be hosting our first ever diversity in law event: Diverse Legal leaders. This event will provide members the tools and insights they need to launch a successful career in one of the most competitive and prestigious sectors for graduates, regardless of their background.
Unlike our other law events, this event is open to students from all degree disciplines who have an active interest in pursuing law as a career.
Join us for an afternoon packed with panel sessions and networking with top law firms and other ambitious members - building your network while you’re still at university is a key step to securing that all-important training contract.
