Think all the best jobs are in London? Think again. Admiral is the only FTSE 100 employer based in Wales, in its bustling capital Cardiff. Find out what this dynamic city can offer you as you build your career with Admiral.

1. Life is better in Cardiff

In a 2015 survey by MoneySupermarket, Cardiff was ranked as one of the UK’s best cities in terms of quality of life, ahead of London, Birmingham and Liverpool.

The reason? The low cost of living and the higher than average levels of disposable income mean residents enjoy a lifestyle only trumped by Edinburgh and Belfast.

2. It’s a sporting and cultural hub

Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium often hosts global events such as the 2015 Rugby World Cup and concerts by popular singers and bands. The stadium has also been selected to host the 2017 UEFA Champions League final - the second time a UEFA trophy has been decided in the Welsh capital.

Cardiff is also the home of the world-renowned Welsh National Opera, a huge circus company and a wealth of performance companies, art collectives and artists that use the city's vibrant atmosphere to build exciting projects.

3. You may spot a famous face or two

BBC Wales is in the process of a major relocation to city's centre and some of the BBC's most popular shows are already filmed there. You may spot a detective or Dalek on your lunch break as Sherlock and Dr Who are often shot on Cardiff's streets.

4. The best of both worlds

Not only does Cardiff have more green space per capita in its centre than any other city in the UK, but every year it hosts the RHS Flower Show and becomes even more colourful.

Add to that Cardiff Castle, the river Taf, a beach (!), and you have the winning combination of an exciting city and unbeatable scenery.

5. Admiral is at the heart of it all

Admiral recently moved into a brand new HQ, Ty Admiral in Cardiff’s centre. Covering 220,000sq feet, this bold new edifice includes a roof terrace, kitchens, showers and chill out areas to make sure employees get the most out of their day and really look forward to coming into the office.
