We caught up with Brittany who currently works in Audit at Deloitte's London office. Here she shares her experience of working internationally with Deloitte and how she couldn't have picked a better place to start her career.
I started at Deloitte as an intern in the San Francisco office and I loved it so much that I ended up working there for five years. I took on the internship with the firm after studying Accounting to Master's level - however there are plenty of routes into Deloitte and you shouldn't be put off if you haven't studied a business degree.
I recognised that Deloitte was one of the best organisations to work for and naturally I wanted to be part of their team.
I am currently on the Global Deployment Programme (GDP) which means I take on rotations in different countries - Deloitte is an international business with clients across the world. I'm American and started my career in my home country but I'm currently part of the UK workforce based in London.
Over my years at Deloitte I've worked in some great locations and without exception, all their offices are friendly with great people and an open culture. The GDP is one of the best things I've ever done (and still doing) as I get the opportunity to go around the world seeing how people work in other parts of the globe.
People & Progression
I've worked hard and have progressed within my career to Manager level. At Deloitte you are supported to do your best and to excel but you also get a great network of people around you who you can learn from and develop with.
Working at Deloitte will exceed any expectations you have because of the people. Having worked in three different offices across the world, I have never for a moment second guessed my decision to come and work at Deloitte. The people I have met are phenomenal and I have made friends, met mentors and found role models throughout my time here.
