Employee Benefits at Hiscox 

Time Out:

  • 25 days annual leave, increasing by 1 day per year after 3 years up to 28 days
  • 2 ‘Hiscox Days’ per year to celebrate something that is special to you
  • Ability to purchase up to 5 days of additional leave per year
  • 4 week paid sabbatical for every 5 years of service (with the option to tag on 3 weeks of annual leave)

Physical Wellbeing:

  • Medical Cash Plan allowing you to claim back money on a range of health treatments up to set annual limits. This is a taxable benefit but Hiscox cover the premium.
  • Single Private Medical cover after 3 years of service. This is a taxable benefit but Hiscox cover the premium.
  • Private Dental Scheme allowing you to claim back money on a range of dental treatments up to set annual limits. This is a self-pay benefit.
  • Up to £500 per year (location dependent) for a gym membership, sports club membership or personal training sessions of your choice. This is a taxable benefit.

Financial Wellbeing:

  • Pension Scheme with employee contributions of 3% and Hiscox contributions of 6% per month. After 3 years of service this increases to 5% and 10%
  • Sharesave scheme with a 20% discount on Hiscox Ltd shares after 3 years of saving
  • Invest @ work – support with investment decisions for a reduced fee of 0.30%
  • Independent Mortgage Advice Service with full broker and admin support right through to completion
  • Interest free Season Ticket Loan up to £10,000 towards car parking or public transport travel to and from the office (recovered over 10 monthly payroll deductions)
  • Life Assurance of 2x basic salary cover should you pass away whilst an employee of Hiscox
  • Income Protection Insurance after 3 years of service providing replacement income should you be unable to work as a result of illness or injury

Mental Wellbeing:

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) – independent advice and support available on a range of areas 24/7 365 days a year
  • Thrive App designed to improve your mental heath and build everyday resilience

Other Benefits:

  • Employee Discounts on large retailers, subscriptions, sports and leisure centres and more
