We caught up with Dominic, who recently completed the Global Technology Programme, to find out what he enjoys about working at Berenberg.
There’s a really flat hierarchy in the technical teams, so you get to develop and own your own projects with no red tape. On one of my rotations in Algorithm Trading, I worked with another graduate to develop a trading desktop application for the traders.
It was great, because we were just given the business problem and told to come up with a solution. I was surprised that the bank gave two graduates so much responsibility. It wasn’t just a small project, but quite high profile. And some of the traders are now using the application we developed.
