A review of 2016 Bright Network Future Lawyers

Set in Banking Hall in the heart of the City of London, Bright Network Future Lawyers Top 100 was a day exclusively for the very best second-year law students. In its sixth consecutive year, this prestigious event gave our brightest members pursuing a career in law the opportunity to connect with 13 leading law firms and find out more about the Vacation Schemes they offer.

"Be interesting and interested." Bright Network CEO & Founder James Uffindell gives his top tips for networking with the firms.

After securing four Vacation Schemes and a Training Contract starting next year, Bright Network member Sam Unsworth shares his path to success with the audience. He says, "When applying to law firms, it’s essential to know what makes each firm unique and what makes you stand out."

114 of the best undergraduate law students met 13 leading firms during our networking sessions. The energy in the room was remarkable as students discovered Vacation Scheme opportunities and impressed the firms with their talent and experience. It was an unique opportunity for our members to meet each firm in small groups, asking the intelligent questions which matter to them.

The awards ceremony rounded off the day as the firms celebrated some of the achievements of exceptional law students in attendance. Above, Adam from Bristol Law Club picks up the award for Team Work and Leadership from Slaughter and May.

The feedback from the firms - Bright Network members were intelligent, insightful and full of enthusiasm. You really made the day extra special.
