A review of 2016 Bright Network Technology Top 150

A day of innovation, inspiration and networking with world-leading technology companies. On 13th September we welcomed 150 of the brightest tech students and 14 top firms to Bright Network Technology Top 150. With Accenture as Premier Sponsor, attendees spent the afternoon building their knowledge of the industry, ready to pursue an exciting career in the technology sector.

Thank you to all the firms and Bright Network members for making it such a memorable day. There were so many intelligent conversations and there was a real buzz at the event all day.

Here’s a little taster of the Bright Network Technology Top 150.

Students were treated to keynote speeches by M&S and Google. There was so much energy in the room, as they discovered what Google looks for in a graduate and how they can stand out in future applications.

All 150 students got the unique opportunity to network with each firm in small groups. There were some great questions, as they made connections with key representatives at each firm.

Premier Sponsor Accenture were a big hit with attendees as they discovered the range of opportunities with the tech consulting firm.

It wouldn’t be Technology Top 150 without futuristic tech. Innovative companies showed the students what ground-breaking projects they are working on, including a pair of Virtual Reality goggles.

The day wasn’t just about networking. The students got a chance to boost their skills and discover what it takes to work at these leading innovators. Vodafone ran a workshop for some of the brightest STEM students, while Dyson and FDM Group talked through the technology they work on and challenged the students in an interactive workshop.

On a beautiful day in central London, the students enjoyed the views as well as an exclusive opportunity to get ahead with their careers.

Thanks to everyone involved for making the event such an incredible occasion. It really did inspire the next generation of tech talent.
