About MyPlus Students' Club

MyPlus Students’ Club provides students with disabilities with the advice and support they Bright Network and MyPlus Students' Club logosneed to navigate the recruitment process and achieve their career potential.

CEO and Founder Helen Cooke identified the need to provide specialist information for this growing talent pool which would give them access to jobs and internships with disability confident employers as well as guidance and resources on how to apply with a disability, answering tough questions such as how to disclose a disability and how to request adjustments during the recruitment process.

Our vision is to ensure that having a disability or long-term health condition doesn't prevent anyone from having the career that they want to have.

Attending this event will allow you to: Recognise the unique skills you’ve developed through your disability Hear from our panellists about how they navigate disability in the workplace Gain insight into why disability inclusion matters to our participating companies Learn when, what, and how to disclose your disability to potential employers Build your confidence in requesting the support you need Connect with disability-confident employers and expand your professional network “Future You made a career for a disabled person feel more achievable, knowing that there are companies that will do their best to support you. Eligibility *This event is open to undergraduate students, in any year of study, with a disability or long-term condition including, but not limited to: visual and hearing impairments, mobility impairments, autism, diabetes, epilepsy, dyslexia, dyspraxia, mental health conditions, speech impairments and major illnesses such as cancer and MS. Ideally you will: Have a strong academic track record Mitigating circumstances will be taken into account. Have an interest in pursuing a corporate career, ideally with one of the participating firms. Students studying for a Masters or PHD are also welcome to apply. Travel expenses up to £70 will be reimbursed.
