This year, we're partnering with even more world-leading firms on all-new skills sessions and running wellbeing sessions throughout each experience. We've added a brand new work sample and you'll also have the opportunity to network with key representatives from leading firms in the Commercial Law sector.

Am I eligible and how do I apply?
Internship Experience UK: Commercial Law is open to every student and recent graduate (18+). All you need to take part is a Bright Network membership which is completely free and you can sign up when you start your application. To apply, simply click the button below and fill in an application form – it takes about 10 minutes to complete. You don't need previous experience to complete the experience - just a passion for the sector.
The application deadline was 14th July at 11:59pm.

Day one
Take part in sector overviews and expert skills sessions delivered by our leading partner employers: Clyde & Co, Slaughter and May, HSF, Ashurst and CMS.
Day two
Begin your work project to simulate real-life tasks you’d be responsible for during a Commercial Law vacation scheme.
Day three
After completing your project, there will be final skills sessions and a closing celebration to mark the end of your internship experience. You will receive feedback on your work once completed.

I think the most useful thing about the Internship Experience UK was the fact that, due to Covid 19, there were really limited work experience opportunities and Internship Experience UK was a really good way to get an insight into Commercial Law which is something I had very little knowledge of prior to the scheme.
I think the main way that Internship Experience UK helped me secure my role was definitely the technical awareness it gave me. That really helped me in my interview.

What if I can't attend?

What if I'm under 18?
If you're under the age of 18, you don't have to miss out. This year we've launched Internship Experience UK On Demand Schools where those 16 and 17 years old can take part in a tailored internship experience of your choice, in your own time during the school summer holidays. Visit our Internship Experience UK On Demand Schools page to learn more and apply for the programme.
I did this experience last year - is it the same?
It's not. In summer 2021, the experiences are completely unique, so if you did the experience last year, we recommend taking part again. All the sessions will be different and the work samples are brand new, plus there are extra features to help you gain more from the experience.
