The opportunity

Gather, record and present data on Supply Chain and Operations. Deliver a technical expertise to ensure the quality and accuracy of the data, then process, design and present it in ways to support the organization to make the right decisions.

Facts and Figures: Analytical data will be associated with supply chain and production areas

Main responsibilities

  • Development, production, and management of data quality reports
  • Creating processes and methods to gather supply chain data
  • Planning and implementing supply chain optimization projects
  • Creating dashboards, reports, and analyses that explain trends – what happened, what may happen, and why
  • Development of key metrics, rules, and notifications to identify critical gaps
  • Regularly tracking KPIs and reporting on supply chain’s performance
  • Preparing analytical data driven reports about production processes, identifying issues, suggesting resolutions and potential improvements to drive improvements in operations efficiency and reliability
  • Evaluating route schedules or load plans, including historical activity and customer trends so as to provide recommendations for improvements to routing efficacy and solution efficiency
  • Performing inventory analysis and preparing inventory reports
  • Engaging with relevant stakeholders to enable execution of data validation, profiling, auditing, and data cleansing activities
  • Supporting operations leadership in identifying process constraints and best approaches to their resolution
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of supply chain processes and procedures
  • Examining current processes to identify shortcomings and implementing or recommending improvements to drive out waste
  • Anything else required to complete your role successfully.

The ideal candidate

  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role (preferably in supply chain)
  • Experience with using a range of data analysis tools
  • Advanced analytics capability
  • Proficient in Microsoft office (Access, Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Query and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Team Player (occasionally working with cross-functional teams, so it is essential to possess the ability to work effectively in a team environment)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills are essential, as you will be required to collaborate with operations colleagues and make the necessary adjustments to changing circumstances. You will also be required to liaise with numerous internal and external stakeholders
  • A good understanding of supply chain principles in an FMCG environment.
