We have a great opportunity to recruit a Marketing and Communications Executive to join our friendly team within National Milk Records. This is no ordinary role sitting behind a desk five days a week, it's really varied, ranging from creating customer collateral and staff newsletters to getting out on farm to build up media and communications content. From managing the social media channels to supporting the NMR team at industry events. You must be comfortable working outdoors within an agricultural environment.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting the Marketing Manager in the delivery of the marketing plan
- Assisting with the development of campaign collateral (social media posts, client communications, internal briefing docs)
- Carrying out market research and checking press and social media for competitor activity and trends.
- Sourcing client testimonials and approval to use in campaign collateral or online
- Development of video script and storyboard (working with relevant colleagues within the Services and Product Management teams)
- Organise farm visit logistics, work with farmer and product owner to obtain footage for the endorsement
- Generate, edit and publish videos for social media channels
- Plan and attend events
- Work closely with Marketing Manager to ensure social media posts are in line with current campaign.
- Continuous development of NMR’s social media footprint. Management of social media pages - Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter; create a structured plan for social media posts
- Use NMR social media channels to carry out market research
- Keep track on social media stats over a 90 day period and see what worked well and when
- Provide updates on social media trends within the industry
- Ensure the company websites are up to date
- Design of farm walk brochures
- Develop the design of staff newsletters
- Provide analysis of marketing data to illustrate campaign performance and compilation of monthly marketing report
- Provide regular updates of web traffic using Google Analytics
- Collect and analyse feedback following campaigns and events
- Work with Marketing Manager to share information on marketing campaigns with the rest of the NMR company on Connect (intranet portal)
- Coordination of production of marketing materials by liaising with our third party providers
What you'll bring
- Understanding of marketing campaigns
- Competent user of Microsoft office products and web-based services
- Excellent written and numerical skills
- Comfortable working outdoors as well as behind a desk
- Familiar and confident with the use of social media platforms
- Confident in use of video capture and editing software
- Knowledge of creative design software such as InDesign and Photoshop
- Confident in using Google Analytics
- Good time management and communication skills
- Skilled in adapting to changing environments
- Will be required to prioritise various tasks
- Experience in attending events
- Knowledge of agricultural marketing is a bonus
- Valid driving license
