World Leader in Glucose Monitoring, Abbott Diabetes Care designs, develops and manufactures glucose monitoring systems for use in both home and hospital settings. We have a Centre of Excellence and Innovation in Witney for the development and manufacture of test strips and biosensors used by patients and healthcare professionals for the day-to-day management of diabetes. Supporting this, we have a skilled team of quality specialist, supporting all stages of the product lifecycle. To support our continued commitment to our customer, we are currently expanding our Product Returns and Complaints Investigation team and are opening opportunities based at our Witney site for a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, working 7pm to 7am.

About the role

​This is an ideal opportunity for a Graduate looking to secure a role in industry, and apply their learnings from a Biomedical Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or broader Engineering or Sciences based degree.

Working to a defined process, you will use fault finding software to identify the root cause of the fault on returned blood glucose monitoring equipment. The position will involve adherence to procedure whilst completing tasks in an accurate yet timely manner. You will be responsible for both manual investigative activities, as well as systems updates and data recording. In addition, you will proactively support the implementation of new and/or improved processes.

Who you are

The ideal candidate will be educated to secondary level standard as a minimum, and will ideally bring experience from a manufacturing/production environment (regulated environment preferred) or a similar process-based work environment. You will be PC Literate, including being comfortable using Microsoft packages. You will be a proactive individual who takes initiative and is able to work independently as well as part of a high performing cross functional team within a regulated, quality-driven environment.
