Join Our Team as a Procurement Officer at One Stratford Place.

About the role

As a Procurement Officer, you will support a wide range of business functions by delivering high-quality procurement support, supporting category teams with tenders, supplier vetting and procurement process administration. You will play a crucial role in pre-procurement governance and approvals, support sourcing activities, and collaborate with internal stakeholders on procurement procedures and processes.

The role will be suitable for a driven and ambitious procurement professional who likes to think outside of the box, challenge the status quo and work within a cohesive and talented team. Each day will provide candidates with the opportunity to learn, grow and develop.

Duties include but are not limited to

  • Management and delivery of low value procurement Request for Quotations/Tenders.
  • Managing the Department’s reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborating with the Deputy Head of Procurement to capture and incorporate business intelligence into databases and the Procurement Dashboard.
  • Driving innovation and improvement in e-tender and e-purchasing systems.
  • Assisting the Deputy Head of Procurement with: spend analysis, identifying sourcing opportunities, supplier Relationship Management tracking, drafting templates and evaluation guidance
  • Managing departmental reporting through the Procurement Dashboard, Contract Database, and other trackers.
  • Ensuring compliance with UK laws and industry standards.
  • Overseeing all departmental statutory reporting related to National Rail Contract Obligations.

  • Collaborate with diverse teams to drive ongoing value for Greater Anglia.
  • Understanding of the upcoming Procurement Act requirements and obligations.
  • Effective commercial and financial awareness with a solid grasp of contract law.
  • Proven analysis and administration experience in a procurement environment.
  • Cradle-to-grave procurement experience across a range of goods and services, particularly in indirect and direct categories.
  • Proficient in MS Office, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Power BI tools.
