Women In Technology Insights Day June 2021
At Accenture, we feel strongly about the importance of inclusion and diversity. We are hosting an event for graduates and final year students who are keen on making a difference in the world of Tech. This is a fantastic opportunity to help you learn more about Accenture and secure a graduate offer on either our Software Engineering or Technology Architecture Graduate Programme.
The event will involve a panel discussion with current female analysts where you can ask them about everything from their most rewarding project down to tips on how to navigate a global company. You’ll also learn more about what motivated them to pursue a career in technology; hear about their progression and how employee support groups (like Accent on Gender) have supported their development. You will also take part in an employability session ran by one of our Senior Recruiters and find out how to excel at an Accenture interview. Finally, we will wrap things up by giving you a chance to hear from market shaping female leaders on current and future trends.
We are prioritising applications from those who have already graduated or currently in their final year of studies. As, if you are invited to an assessment centre and successful, you must be available to start in May 2021 or June 2021.
Software Engineering Graduate Programme
On this programme you’ll get to work with some of the most advanced technologies on the market, develop industry-leading specialist skills and help transform our clients around the world.
A key team member, you’ll be creating the innovative technical solutions we’re renowned for and driving technology development programmes for deployment in a variety of environments. As well as understanding what our clients want to achieve, you’ll discover what’s possible within their existing framework and explore the best technologies to achieve the most effective results. You’ll take part in a number of challenging projects for a range of clients, across a variety of industries.
Technology Architecture Graduate Programme
On this programme, you'll grow to become an expert architect in exploring how a client’s vision is achieved, using a variety of technologies and leveraging cutting-edge innovation.
You will develop your tech acuity with our graduate training induction, before moving on to client projects to tackle technically complex solutions, understanding client needs, defining technical requirements, and communicating how the technology solution will drive successful business outcomes.
What you’ll learn
But more than that, we want you to understand the bigger picture and develop deep industry expertise. So you’ll get to learn all about IT strategy, the Accenture Technology Vision, data centre technology, security and enterprise architecture. Plus, because of the size and scope of our business, not only will you work with big name providers like Microsoft, Oracle and SAP, but also emerging market innovators.
What’s in it for you
We believe that your career is your adventure. All this training, experience and client exposure is focused on turning you into an expert in exploring how a client’s vision is achieved through using the latest technologies whilst developing and sustaining the skills our clients demand.
As well as the prospect of a great career centred around improving the way the world works and lives, you can look forward to a competitive starting salary and a generous holiday allowance. Other benefits include a pension scheme, personal laptop, an AMEX card, private healthcare, subsidised gym membership, season ticket loan and much more besides. For a comprehensive list of all our benefits, visit our website.
What we’re looking for
The Insight day is open to individuals who have a real passion and flair for technology. You’ll have a real interest in Software Engineering or Technology Architecture and end-to-end design and delivery. Overall, we’re looking for a willingness to try new things, a desire for self-improvement and a strong work ethic.
Although not essential, a degree in STEM would be beneficial.
Where you’ll work
