The Admiral Group has consistently been recognised as one of the best companies to work for in the UK, and this is an exciting time to join us as we expand our efforts into exciting new products and services.

This means an added incentive to make a difference in our business's future and make our business, your business!

The Roles

Pricing

Pricing is responsible for setting the rates which create competitive prices for our Car, Home, and Van Insurance customers. Graduates in these teams can get involved with everything from running pricing models using statistical tools, understanding the numbers within those models, and ultimately having responsibility for making proposals for potential improvements to our products' rating structure and other business-critical decision-making processes.

International Pricing

Our International Pricing team is based in Cardiff and is responsible for providing support and guidance to our businesses worldwide. Graduates will work together with our colleagues and teams overseas, running pricing models and using statistical tools to understand and analyse the numbers and make proposals to improve the pricing structure in our international operations. Our overseas operations have ambitious growth plans and sharing best practices, innovation, and using knowledge and experience in one country to improve our risk selection and processes in other countries plays a key role to be successful.

Fraud Analytics

Fraud Analytics looks to unearth value from both in-house and external data sets by cooperatively finding correlations in customer behaviour and fraudulent activity. Graduates in this team are responsible for carrying out various tasks, including creating business rules, evaluating data sources, network monitoring, and proactively suggesting process changes. We are a growing team that is enthusiastic about the work we do and love nothing more than to catch a fraudster!

Essential skills we're looking for

  • 2.1 or above in a STEM discipline (mathematical desirable)
  • Demonstrable ability to combine analytical thinking based on numbers, together with common sense and imagination
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A willingness to dive into detail

Where could a career with Admiral take you?

We offer a steady career growth path with many of our previous graduates progressing to leadership roles involving regular contact with some of our most senior managers.

Thanks to our business's culture and structure, the skills and experience developed within our Pricing and Fraud Analytics teams would be transferable to other analytical departments as we grow our product portfolio.

Please note, this is a permanent role in the Pricing department as opposed to a rotational graduate programme. If you would like to be considered for this opportunity, please click "apply now" to complete an online application form.

While this role is based in our head office in Cardiff, due to the impact of COVID-19, it's likely that you will initially be required to work from home, with your initial training taking place using online collaboration tools. However, going forward, we anticipate that this role will allow you to work partially remotely on a more permanent basis.

At Admiral, we are proud to be a diverse business where we put our people and customers first. We have great benefits to ensure employees have a great work-life balance; it's one of the reasons we're voted as one of the Sundays Times Best Big Companies to Work for in the UK. We want you to have an element of freedom to define a working lifestyle that supports this, so accommodate flexible hours wherever possible.
