AECOM Buildings & Places Surveying Team is made up of dedicated teams delivering projects in Commercial, Residential, Hospitality, Sports Venues, Workplaces, Education, Government and Healthcare across UK and Ireland.

About Our Team

We have Building Services surveying teams that work across the UK, working together with Building Surveyors to meet our clients’ needs covering a variety of work from; asset verification & Lifecycle analysis, condition and dilapidations surveys, maintenance reviews and various consulting roles for clients that vary from Local Authority, Defence, Education to private and large blue-chip Clients.

Job Responsibilities & Skills

  • Develop and manage projects from beginning to end, including project scope, timeline, capacity planning, resource allocation, and project execution. Provide project management and direction to ensure the project team has a clear understanding of timelines, risks, escalation path and roles/responsibilities they will undertake within the project team.
  • Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Undertake asset verification, condition or dilapidation surveys on Mechanical and Electrical Plant.
  • Assess and provide specific insight into the condition, performance and operational risk of M&E systems by undertaking non-intrusive inspections and review of as built and O&M documentation.
  • Where required, review statutory compliance documentation pertaining to Building Regulations, H&S and Fire Safety.
  • Be able to help create and review existing PPM plans from SFG20 & CIBSE guidelines, as well as bespoke client requirements.
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise a workload, whilst working on a mobile basis, and keep excellent records.
  • Enthusiasm for identifying and embracing different ways of working.
  • Ability and presence to be proactive and work on own initiative with limited supervision, and be able to manage contractors delivering building works at project level including quality, value and progress with excellent organisational skills.

Minimum Requirements

  • A degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Building Services Engineering.
  • Member of CIBSE, CIOB, IAM or RICS working towards chartership within your accredited body.
  • Some work experience in all core Building Services (MEP) elements, including installation, commissioning and maintenance.
  • Willing to travel and have a full driving licence.
  • Suitability for security clearance.
