AIG Life Ltd is an innovative UK-based protection provider initially established as Fortis Life Ltd in 2008 and subsequently acquired by AIG in 2014. We provide term assurance, critical illness and income protection products via intermediaries and through our distribution partners.
Actuarial Team
Actuarial professionals have a pivotal role in driving the results at AIG, and are integral to AIG’s success with their expertise in quantitative analysis, insurance pricing, reserving, and risk quantification.
Interns joining the Actuarial team at AIG Life will have the opportunity to work on preparing financial results and regulatory returns, understanding and managing our capital position, pricing protection products, working with our reinsurance partners, and assessing our claims and lapse experience.
The Actuarial team is led by the Chief Actuary and works with many other areas across the business including the Sales & Marketing, Underwriting, Risk and Finance teams.
Summer Internship Program Description
Joining the AIG Summer Internship Program is a great way to enhance your business acumen and gain insight into our industry. Summer interns are placed into meaningful and influential roles that have an immediate and integral impact on the business.
The Summer Internship Program lasts approximately 10 weeks and is targeted to students in the penultimate year of their undergraduate or graduate education. After initial orientation and intensive training, summer interns will join one of our actuarial teams, each of which offers a unique opportunity to obtain core technical knowledge and professional skills in a diverse environment. In addition to the experience acquired on the job, summer interns have the opportunity to learn directly from senior management, and participate in webinars, discussion forums, and networking receptions.
Summer interns establish goals with their managers during the first week, and the goals are measured at the mid and end points of the summer. Successful summer interns may be considered for full-time analyst positions to begin summer of 2022.
Qualifications
Required
- Expected minimum 2.1 degree classification
- Pursuant of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, graduating in 2022
